Start of Something New

Hi :D

Thanks for Stopping by this post. Its nice to see my hard work won’t be for nothing on here. Well allow me to introduce myself. My Name is Alicia. ^.^
I am a 17 years old girl  that's exploring into the grand world of Blogging! I have a lot to learn, but I know that I can one day become a Great Blogger. At the moment I am a senior in high school. I live in a close knit community where everyone knows everyone since the first grade. You might be wondering “Well this girl must live in the middle of nowhere”, but its quite the opposite. I live in sunny California, about 20 minutes from Downtown L.A., 30 minutes from Hollywood, and 45 minutes from the Long Beach.  Yup, not a small town girl for miles.

As for my personality I like to believe I am a funny, decently well rounded person, that can talk a little too much for her own good. I have no idea what an “inside voice” is and keeping my mouth shut isn't something I developed until recently. (Still Working on it).

Now, the last three years has greatly influenced me on who I want to become and who I love being. I am not the best at writing, nor can I draw to save my life, but I find comfort in books and number. Odd combo? Yeah I know.

Reading to be is a journey, I can imagine the scenes playing out before me. I cringe and laugh out loud like i'm living in the moment. I can stay up for hours just talking out loud and visualizing the story before me. Creating my own part within it.

While math.. well its just something I feel can explain everything that goes tick on this earth. Since I was little, i questioned everything around me, “How does the TV and remote connect?” “Why do things fall?” “Why?” As I got older math and science just came easy to me, but i never understood my it mattered to learn it. Eventually I realize it was the answer to all my questions. It could not only tell the answer but it showed me how to find it.

Well enough with my dorky nerd side. What I have also noticed way before High School, was my love for music. Now I know that every teenager probably says that, but for me Its my world. I have been apart of my High School Band for 4 years now, and 4 years before that in middle school. But High School is where I learned that music was much more than Rap or Rock on the radio. Music was everywhere from the beginning.

I am the Drum Major for my high schools band. I have held this title for 3 years. Now, having this title was pretty big since the title is only given out to Seniors usually. Trust me it started some drama, but that will be a later post. Anywho, being Drum Major made me appreciate music in a whole new way. Not only did it allow me to open my eyes to a whole new idea of what was music, it challenged me to be a leader.

I play the clarinet currently, but I dabble with the trombone, flute, piano, and guitar. Trust me I suck.

I could talk about music forever, but I can see this post is getting too long already.
